Nikki Milne from the Perth Collective has built a social media following most can only dream about. From 2,223 followers in its launch week, to over 34,000 at last count, The Perth Collective has created a new platform for female Perth business owners to gain exposure.
Nikki invited us to share why we started LaFit Studio, our vision, challenges and achievements, along with our advice to other Perth businesswomen. We were honoured to be asked and happy to share!
Here's a sneak peek:
How and why you started your business?
Jaye: We discovered the Lagree Fitness method when we were living in Brisbane. It was the most powerful, full body strength and conditioning workout we had ever done and we were addicted! When we moved back to Perth and realised that Lagree wasn’t here we knew we had to bring it over. We have both always been fit and healthy and as mums we didn’t want to go back to the 9-5 grind, so the timing was just perfect.
Most memorable challenge you had with a client or stockist?
Claire: I received a call from a prospective client the very first day our website went live. She had been doing Pilates for years, was looking for more intensity and thought Lagree sounded perfect. Unfortunately, delays with the council meant we didn’t open for three more months! The wait was so frustrating. She called us every few weeks until we opened and has been a regular fixture since. Her persistence really confirmed we really had something people wanted!
