Our lagree trainer and Megaformer Challenge mentor Kelly Dalby helps you find your why and what drives you.  


Before we embark on this journey that is Megaformer Challenge, let’s establish:

Who we are currently

and

Who we want to be


In the name of growth... be honest with yourself when you complete these two sentences:

I AM the kind of person who... 
I WANT to be the kind of person who... 

I find it easier to grab a piece of paper or even your journal and write it out.

Feeling lost? Here’s mine:

I AM the kind of person who justifies treats, works hard, and plays a little harder 
I WANT to be the kind of person who is consistent, and present, and lives in total balance 

Being honest with ourselves is hard, even uncomfortable. But, being honest with ourselves means we are taking the time to understand what it is we need, what it is we want and how we are currently living out our days. 

You need to understand what drives you. Are you motivated AWAY from something? (like a horrible photo of yourself, a wake up call or rock bottom style days) or are you motivated TOWARDS something awesome? An energised and balanced place you have been in and can recall, an event, competition, a holiday, a PRIZE?! Neither are right or wrong but it does help in understanding what drives you. 

Before we begin this epic challenge, I have four serious questions to ask you:

  1. Why are you doing this?
  2. But why? 
  3. But why is that important?
  4. But WHY is that important?

Here are mine:

  1. Why are you doing this? To build muscle, decrease fat mass, to feel strong, to experience discipline and consistency.
  2. But why? I'll feel disciplined 
  3. But why is that important? I'll be proud of myself  
  4. But WHY is that important? I'll feel confident, I'll feel happy 

You see this annoying game of WHY gets right to bottom, where we find our true motivation. In the end, I discover it's not really about how much lean mass I can build, or how much body fat I can lose... at the end of the day I want to feel confident. I want to feel happy. 

There... is my WHY. And in playing this game, we are visualising that person we want to be. 

Your WHY... is your intention behind this challenge and it is that WHY that will keep you moving forward when you want to give up.
