Presenting LaFit Studio's first activewear campaign shoot
To promote our growing range of activewear in the studio we wanted to create some imagery that would embody who the LaFit customer is, as well as showcasing our beautiful product. With such strong prints and bold colours in store, we felt that a coastal location would be a great place to set the scene.
Our talented photographer Jeremy Choh was the perfect person to help us bring out the best in our stunning models, Clare Mesure and Emily Wainwright, who we plucked from the studio. Retail Manager Bridget Hudson, who doubles as a freelance stylist, provided the art direction. Our leaders Claire and Jaye were on hand to play production assistant for the day, keeping the team well fed and on schedule as usual!
The odds were stacked against us with a wet weekend forecasted, but the fashion gods were shining on us that day as we commenced hair and makeup at 6am. We were fortunate enough to bag one of Perth’s leading makeup artists for the day, Nicole Forde. She was a trooper, pulling off three makeup and hair changes for two models in record time and without any complaints.
We shot 21 looks on the day from an impressive list of Australian and International activewear designers including Mara Hoffman, Laurie Nouchka, Nimble Activewear, L'urv, Dead Studios, BAM.U, All Fenix and Vie Active. The results exceeded our expectations. We are truly grateful to have had such a talented, hardworking and patient team to ensure the success of the day.
Images from the campaign have been trickling through on our Instagram and Facebook in recent weeks. The hero image from the day (pictured top and below) was installed as an abstract black and white feature on the back wall of the studio last week, artfully manipulated by Alicia from Dead Pixels with inspiration from Jen Lowe at OHLO.
