Club 500 – Kristy B

We would love to give a BIG high five to our member Kristy  who has made it to Club 500!

Kristy’s very first class was with Jacinta back in January 2017 and since early 2020, she’s consistently been enjoying a mix of Ride and Megaformer.

We chat to Kristy about her LA Fit journey, and how she stays motivated and keeps coming back.

Congratulations on joining the 500 Club! What an achievement – it’s no easy feat. How do you feel?

It’s a pretty great feeling actually!

Tell us all about your LA Fit journey. Why did you join? What was it like in the beginning?

I had an old foot injury and so I was looking for a place to go where I could exercise intensely but also look after my poor feet. So when I came across LA Fit I was keen to give it a go.  It was super tough in the beginning, and I was also coming back to exercise after my second child – so to say I was unfit was an understatement!

What do you enjoy about being a part of the LA Fit community?

I have to say that I am a total mega (and now ride!) addict – but it’s true that there is a wonderful community feel at LA Fit. It’s rare to come across a bunch of people who are not only good at their job, but really care about all the members, and do it all with amazing energy.

If you had to use three words to describe LA Fit, what would they be?

Intense, inspirational, professional.

What made you start coming to Ride and what do you like about it?

I was chatting to a few members and trainers and eventually got inspired to give it a go. The first class was next-level hard – but I have a pretty determined nature, so I just set my mind to get better at it each class. It’s still quite surprising to me that I now really enjoy it.

What do you love about Megaformer?

Firstly, it’s really safe for my injury and it’s really intense. I can also move really mindfully and it feels like some time away from my usually very busy mind.

Seeing as you’ve completed 566 classes (that’s a hell of a lot), can you share a secret (or three) on staying motivated and consistent with your training?

I think loving it makes it easy to just turn up even when I’m tired. It sounds like a cliché, but I always feel better afterwards. I just book my sessions in and the rest just takes care of itself!

Thank you! And Congratulations!
